Travel back in time to experience the Battle of Camp Wildcat Civil War Reenactment in London, Kentucky. Sponsored by The Laurel Home Guard, it will have hundreds of Union and Confederate Soldiers re-enacting the battle that was considered the first Union victory as well as the first engagement of regular troops in Kentucky. 2019 Marks the 30th Anniversary of the Reenactment! Directions to Battlefield:
NORTH-SOUTH: Take Exit 49 off I-75. This is the Livingston Exit — KY 909. If you are traveling southbound, turn left off the exit and go over the interstate. If you are traveling northbound, turn right off the exit. You will travel a short distance (0.6 miles) on 909. Turn right (south) onto U.S. 25 and travel 0.7 miles. Turn left onto Hazel Patch Road and follow the signs directing you to Camp Wildcat.
EAST-WEST: Western Kentucky — From Glasgow, take the Louie B. Nunn Cumberland Parkway to KY 80 East, which comes directly into London. At the 2nd traffic light, turn left (North) onto I-75 and follow the above directions for northbound.
Eastern Kentucky –– Coming from the Hazard area, take the Daniel Boone/Hal Rogers Parkway to London. Stay on this road until you pass the State Police Post on the right (intersection with US 25). At the next traffic light, turn right (North) onto I-75 and follow the directions above for northbound.
