The London-Laurel County Tourist Commission is soliciting sealed bids for the sale of real property consisting of 1.79 acres located at exit 41 of I-75, next to McDonald's located at 140 Faith Assembly Church Rd, London, KY 40741. Participation is open to any interested person or entity. The purpose of the information contained within this document is to inform any offeror(s) as to specific information on the real property. The bid requirements and the procedure for the submission and consideration of bids will be in the bid packet that can be picked up at our offices or downloaded from our website.

Background Information

The London-Laurel County Tourist Commission (LLTC) recently declared the property to be surplus and will proceed with the solicitation of sealed bids for the sale of the property pursuant to KRS 67.0802(4)(D). The LLTC intends to award the bid for the purchase of the subject property to the offeror who submits the highest and best bid for the property. It is the intent of the LLTC to exchange the ownership of the property in question to the offeror who submits the highest cash bid.

The property is being offered in “AS – IS” condition, with no express or implied warranties from the LLTC. The offeror(s) should not rely upon any information supplied to them outside official written documents from the LLTC.

A portion of the property is leased for electric vehicle charging. More information can be obtained from our office.

Appraisal of Property

The property has been appraised by a Kentucky Certified Real Property Appraiser who established the dollar value.

The Bid Process

A bid packet may be picked up at the LLTC office located at 140 Faith Assembly Church Rd, London, KY 40741 Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or downloaded at https://visitlondonky.com/propertybids/. Sealed bids that follow the specifications in the bid packet will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on April 26, 2024. Bids will be opened publicly at the same location on May 3, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. All bids received by the due date and time will be considered.

The LLTC reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities or informalities in awarding the bid, and to accept what, in its opinion, is the highest, best bid which is in the best interests of the LLTC and the public.
